This girl spent her 18th birthday alone. But the world wouldn’t let it happen again.
In a world where terrorist attacks, homophobic attacks, bullying and racism seem to be a daily occurrence, isn’t it lovely when humanity says “I’m gonna be awesome today.”
Rebecca Guildford told us last week that her cousin Hallee Sorenson had spent her 18th birthday alone. She has autism and her classmates were a no-show at her party.
It’s her 19th birthday next month, so Rebecca asked the world to be kinder to her cousin this year.
So far, Halle has received more than 10,000 cards, letters and parcels.
What a good lot we all are!
